JOYKIDS was born in Melbourne in 2020, when founder Annie watched her two-year-old son Henry struggle to find books in a standard cube shelf — pulling them out one by one until he finally found the one he wanted. He couldn't read the spines yet. He needed to see the covers.

That moment sparked an idea. After months of research and design, Annie created Australia's original slim-line, front-facing bookshelf — a simple concept that changed the way children interact with books and their space.

Since then, our design has been widely copied. But the original is still the best — and our customers who've tried both always come back.
