I have been waiting impatiently to buy this bookshelf for my son for his new playroom in our new home. So excited to receive it and put it up for him. It's exactly as it looks and is fairly simple to put together.
The only thing I wish was that in the directions it said to screw in the metal pegs with the black plastic ends, that connect all the wooden pieces together. It took me ages to try and figure out because they were not lining up properly and I couldn't tighten it up as it should be. I also tried to find a video showing how to put it together and could not.
Other than that one small hiccup it's perfect and I'm obsessed and can't wait to order more items.
I was struggling to find a white front facing bookshelf and loved the joy kids one. So I bought it anyway and painted it ourselves. It’s made the room.
We love this bookshelf more than any other piece of furniture in our daughters room. It not only looks incredible, but it holds so many books and is engaging when picking out what to read. I ended up making a little pine book that helps it reach over the baseboard, allowing it to be attached to the wall. We have tall baseboards and I didn’t want to have to cut them. This worked out really well. It’s also important to remember to rotate books often, so the ones behind are getting read as well. This ends up making seasonal book rotation more fun and doable. Highly recommend this shelf. We have two side by side and it is even more impactful. It’s such a practical and beautiful way to show off picture books for any book loving family.

I have been looking at this online for months, I finally got to order one and when it showed up it did not disappoint! It’s beautiful, well made, sturdy and very well designed. Ties in with my daughters room nicely. It was also easy to assemble. Love love love!!

We received a bookshelf and two shelves were damaged. I contacted customer support asking for two replacement shelves and instead, they sent me an entire new bookshelf. Thank you joykids, you don’t get that kind of service these days.
My 3 yr old is really into books.

This book shelf gives him liberty to choose books himself and it’s a decent size so fits in more books than I expected.
