Description

A compact front-facing wall shelf in solid pine — 80 cm wide, 48.5 cm tall and only 12 cm deep, for a bedside, a window wall, or the narrow gap where a bookcase will not go.

It hangs two ways. With the opening at the top it is a shelf: books stand face out on two tiers, so a child can see the covers and choose for herself, alongside small toys and whatever collects beside a bed. Turn it over, opening at the bottom, and the same shelf becomes a wall-mounted clothes rail — for tomorrow's outfit, the dress-ups, or a favourite jacket left on show.

Solid pinewood with a non-toxic finish and rounded edges. Wall fixing kit included, for plasterboard or a stud. Designed in Melbourne.

Fix it to the wall before anything goes on it. Children pull on shelves, and anchoring is what makes that a non-event. Adult assembly. Keep the screws and fittings away from children until the shelf is built.
