Two layers, not one

Cutaway of the JoyKids decal's four layers: epoxy resin removable glue, rubber magnetic base, high-density ferro-adhesive layer, and a matte writing surface that can be replaced

The same wall, for markers instead of chalk.

  • Two-layer magnetic film — whiteboard markers, wiped clean
  • No chalk dust, which is the whole reason to choose it
  • Magnets hold on it as well as the chalk version
  • A MagicPlate sticks straight to it, so bricks build upward

Which drawing wall is yours

Every one of them holds a magnet.

The difference is what you draw with, and whether it goes on the wall or stands on its own.

The smooth surfaces a JoyKids magnetic decal sticks to: latex painted wall, tile, glass, metal, acrylic and wood

More than a drawing wall

Where it will stick.

Anything smooth and flat: painted plasterboard, tile, glass, metal, acrylic, sealed wood. It is the texture that decides it, not the material.

Worth checking first — paint less than three months old, anything chalky or wallpapered, and stain-repellent finishes like Dulux Wash & Wear, which repel adhesive as readily as they repel stains.

And choose the wall once. The adhesive is strong enough that the film will not creep or lift at a corner, which is the point of it — and strong enough that taking it down again can bring paint with it.
